From Italy to Cambodia

my Journey to becoming a Brewmaster

Hey beer lovers! 🍺 Let me take you behind the scenes of how Amara Beer Lab came to life and the adventure that turned me into a certified brewmaster recognized across Europe.

It all started in Padova, Italy, where I dived headfirst into a three-month whirlwind of beer, science, and late-night study sessions. This wasn't your average "sit-back-and-sip" kind of course. It was intense. I learned everything about brewing, from the magic of raw ingredients to the nitty-gritty of bacteriological analysis (spoiler: it’s not as scary as it sounds).

I spent weeks studying quality control, mastering production processes, and tasting my way through the world’s iconic beer styles (yes, there’s a science to that too!). They even drilled us on safety—both in the brewery and in food handling—because hey, good beer starts with a safe process.

Then came the real game-changer: the internship. This wasn’t just an add-on; it was where the classroom lessons came to life. Working hands-on with seasoned brewers taught me that brewing isn’t just about following a recipe. It’s about problem-solving, creativity, and, let’s be honest, a good dose of patience.

When the dust (or malt dust) settled, I walked away with not just a diploma but a passion for bringing unique brews to life. That experience shaped the vision for Amara Beer Lab—a brewery that doesn’t just make beer but tells a story with every sip.

So here we are in Siem Reap, with hops, barley, and a dream to create beers that surprise and delight. If you ever find yourself in the area, come grab a pint and let’s chat about the endless possibilities in a glass of craft beer. Cheers! 🥂
